Good Tidings Podcast S3E25: Dave Dravecky

Posted on September 5, 2022

Welcome to the Good Tidings Podcast with host Larry Harper, Founder of the Good Tidings Foundation. This podcast is all about highlighting the good in people and what individuals are doing to make an impact in this world all for the benefit of others, while aiming to inspire a community of givers! On today’s episode, Larry interviews former Major League Pitcher and Inspirational Speaker – Dave Dravecky.

The interview begins with Larry and Dave chatting about how the year 1989 impacted their lives. Dave talks about his comeback from a cancerous tumor being removed from his pitching arm the previous year. It was a special day at Candlestick pitching for the Giants as he won his first game back. But five days later, things would not go so well, with Dave’s arm breaking during a pitch in Montreal.

Dave would later find out that the cancer had returned to his pitching arm. He would eventually get the news that his pitching arm and shoulder would have to be amputated. Dave will expand on how his faith in God has helped him carve out a special life of helping others.  You will then listen to how Dave, along with his wife Jan, have spent the past 31 years sharing their story and helping people young and old with their struggles.

You will be uplifted by this episode.
