Welcome to the Good Tidings Podcast with host Larry Harper, Founder of the Good Tidings Foundation. This podcast is all about highlighting the good in people and what individuals are doing to make an impact in this world all for the benefit of others, while aiming to inspire a community of givers! On today’s episode, Larry interviews his new friend and Good Tidings partner, Sara Bareilles.
Sara Bareilles is a Grammy winning songwriter, Tony nominated Broadway composer, Emmy nominated actress and New York Times Best Selling Author. The interview takes place in Sara’s hometown of Eureka, California at the opening of the new Sara Studio at the Boys and Girls Club of the Redwoods. Two nights prior to the opening, Sara performed for the Good Tidings Foundation at their Anniversary Party at The Masonic Theater on San Francisco’s Nob Hill. Through the event, money was raised to create and refurbish a recording booth with state-of-the-art recording equipment, jam room complete with top of the line instruments, and the space’s 75-year-old performing arts stage. This amazing new space was created for the teens of Eureka to explore their artistic creativity.
The interview continues with Larry asking Sara about her songwriting process and all her current projects which includes an upcoming new album. She continues to share her professional experiences that include the Broadway hit musical Waitress and her popular new TV show, Girls5eva. Their discussion concludes with Larry and Sara agreeing to another partnership to help deserving youth sometime in the near future in her new hometown of New York City.
